Department responsible for:

The department ensures the preparation of the draft budget, monitors and evaluates its implementation, and carries out activities related to the financing of the city, city districts, contributory organizations, organizational units, and commercial companies from the city budget. It prepares financial analyses based on the requirements of the City Council and the City Assembly.

It maintains accounting records on the status and movement of assets, all revenues and expenditures, fund management, loans and credits and their repayments, pooled funds, shares, equity interests, and other securities. It also ensures fixed-term deposits and other appropriate investment of temporarily available financial resources, as well as relations with the state budget and state funds, all in accordance with applicable regulations.

The department ensures a unified methodology for budgeting, accounting, taxes, and pricing for city districts, organizational units, and contributory organizations. It administers the agenda related to the insurance of city property and contributory organizations, and ensures the enforcement of legally binding receivables of the city.
