It is a department of the municipal authority that develops the concept for the development and budgeting of the city’s information systems and technologies. It monitors and analyzes processes and procedures involved in carrying out activities within various administrative agendas and proposes adjustments to IS and IT. It oversees outsourced MMO services (contact center, IT) and cooperates in the implementation of IT projects.

It is responsible for managing the data of the city’s digital cadastral and technical maps. It performs application installations and configures connections for working with GISMO (Geographic Information System of the City of Ostrava) both at the municipal authority and at the offices of city districts. For the Emergency Call Center, it provides data and information support in handling crisis situations.
