Vacant positions filled through a selection procedure
- Based on a selection procedure announced by the Council of the statutory city of Ostrava
- Based on a selection procedure pursuant to Act No. 312/2002 Coll., on officials of territorial self-governing units, as amended, the following positions within the Ostrava City Hall are being filled:
- So-called civil service positions (whose duties involve the performance of administrative activities) for an indefinite period
- All positions of managerial officials (both for indefinite and fixed terms)

If an applicant decides to submit an application to the selection procedure in accordance with Act No. 300/2008 Coll., on electronic acts and authorized document conversion, as amended, via a data box, they will still be required to deliver certain legally required attachments (an extract from the Criminal Register, a certified copy of the document proving the highest level of education attained, and, in the case of a selection procedure for a managerial official position, also a negative lustration certificate, if required) to the announcing authority either by post or in person to the registry office of the City of Ostrava.

- So-called civil service positions for a fixed term (primarily to replace a temporarily absent official – e.g. due to maternity/parental leave or long-term sick leave)
- Positions whose duties do not involve the performance of administrative activities (in particular manual, service, and support work)
