The new facility will be located in the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park, becoming DP World’s newest automotive center in Central Europe and its first in the Czech Republic. With more than 120,000 m² of warehouse space, DP World will provide an integrated solution for BMW Group, including all inbound, storage, and outbound logistics. The strategic location of the new warehouse at the heart of Central Europe’s logistics corridor will maximize operational efficiency and reliability.

„I am very pleased that such an important strategic investor is coming to our industrial zone in Mošnov. Its brand is a major name in the automotive industry. Thanks to BMW Group’s presence, the region will gain new, attractive jobs with a stable long-term outlook. I have no doubt that the company’s reputation will also increase the international attractiveness of the multimodal park in Mošnov,” said Ostrava Mayor Jan Dohnal.

The investment confirms DP World’s long-term commitment to the automotive industry in the Czech Republic and supports the further development of its activities on both the domestic and regional markets. The project also builds on DP World’s successful cooperation with BMW Group in other countries in the region, including the recently opened BMW production plant in Debrecen, Hungary, where DP World also provides integrated logistics services.

Tobias Fenzl, Global Account Director at DP World, said: „At DP World, we strongly believe in the strength and potential of the European automotive industry. Our investment in Ostrava clearly demonstrates this commitment. The new site expands our network in Central Europe and highlights the quality of our logistics services.”

Robert Sgariboldi, Country Manager of DP World Czech Republic, added: „This project is a major vote of confidence in the Czech logistics market. DP World has been systematically building a strong logistics platform here, from contract logistics to freight forwarding. The new center in Ostrava, which will create more than 750 jobs, is an important milestone for our company and further proof of our capabilities in the region.”

The new logistics center is an example of how DP World supports automotive customers through its globally connected network. The company works with leading car manufacturers and suppliers in key production, transit, and destination markets worldwide, providing comprehensive solutions. Thanks to global coverage, unified operational standards, and deep expertise in automotive logistics, DP World enables its customers to grow efficiently while maintaining high quality, transparency, and control across regions.

„This step is further proof that Ostrava is an attractive location for investors, even for a strong global player such as BMW Group. With its location near Poland and Slovakia, high-quality rail connections, road infrastructure, and of course the Leoš Janáček International Airport, we certainly have a lot to offer. Last but not least, we can expect the new logistics center to increase the importance of the entire region in the automotive and logistics sectors,” concluded Deputy Mayor Břetislav Riger.
