Non-emergency Green Line

The Non-Emergency Green Line was established with the aim of reducing the number of non-urgent calls to the emergency lines of the Integrated Rescue System.

For six years (since April 2008), a free non-emergency telephone line 800 199 922 has been operating in Ostrava. Its purpose is to reduce the number of non-urgent calls to the emergency lines of the Integrated Rescue System (firefighters, ambulance service, police), which are intended for situations involving life-threatening emergencies, health risks, or the threat of significant property damage.

The non-emergency Green Line 800 199 922 is available 24/7 for reporting faults or damage to public facilities, such as problems with traffic signs, damaged benches, ticket machines, timetables, non-functioning public lighting or traffic signal devices, faults in electrical or water supply networks, obstructed sidewalks, or neglected public greenery. Citizens can also report illegal dumping sites, dead animals, and other issues.

Citizens also contact the Green Line for assistance and advice, such as how to obtain new documents, information related to city regulations and ordinances, or guidance in difficult situations. The line is also used by residents to get in touch with their local community police officer.

The non-emergency Green Line is operated by the Ostrava Municipal Police.
