The Program for Education Support and Talent Management in the city of Ostrava was launched in 2016. During this period, 240 projects have been supported, amounting to a total of 207 million CZK.

How can one apply to the program? How does the project selection process work?

The program is typically announced in the autumn. Details regarding the program, including the application submission deadlines, can be found on the city's website [link here]. Applicants whose projects comply with the program will have the opportunity to personally meet with project evaluators during their presentations and defenses. Final decisions on the amount of project support are made by the city authorities and are published here [link here].

What results can we showcase? What does Ostrava already have thanks to the program?

  • Interactive educational programs at the Great World of Technology and the Small World of Technology in Lower Vítkovice.
  • Schools actively engaged in the education and talent management program, gradually building systematic support for talent, technical, and scientific education
  • Educational facilities at a high level equipped to provide interest-based education that fosters talent within informal learning
  • Universities actively involved in promoting talent and technical education
  • Newly established programs at universities and secondary schools

Through the support of these projects, Ostrava is gradually becoming a breeding ground for technical talents, actively seeking, supporting, and creating conditions for their development. It demonstrates that it can provide extraordinary conditions for exceptional talents.

This is the right path leading Ostrava towards its goal of becoming a center of first-class education.
